New Property and Casualty Insurance Continuing Education Course: "Where Is The Money?"
Newport Beach, CA, July 2009 -- In order to continue
providing the best property and casualty insurance continuing education course
curriculum in the nation, The SuccessCE Family of Companies has developed a high-credit-hour
property and casualty insurance continuing education course titled, “Where is the
Money?”
for Property and Casualty agents and companies nationwide. These courses have been
approved under its providership for National Association of Professional Surplus
Lines Offices (NAPSLO).
The objectives of this property and casualty insurance continuing education course
are to educate the producer about the risks
faced by insurers in the surplus lines
industry and, as an agent, they can assist in a better understanding of the risk
assumption process within the surplus lines organization.
Much attention is paid to past failures within the surplus lines industry. We examine
how these failures occurred in order to learn from past mistakes. Specifically, in the context of surplus lines, the agent and producer will learn about the following concepts within surplus lines:
- The cyclical nature of surplus lines and the underlying reinsurance
- How policy terms and conditions affect risk assumption
- How incidence and frequency of unforeseen catastrophic losses affect capital requirements
and availability
- How facultative reinsurance differs from treaty reinsurance
- How E & O coverage fits into agent liability relative to engaging in surplus
lines transactions
- The legal requirements for the segregation of insurer trust funds
- How to distinguish between short tail and long tail risks
- How GAAP accounting affects surplus lines reserve requirements and, ultimately,
pricing structures
This is a two-hour (100 minutes of contact time) property and casualty insurance
continuing education classroom course and all students are provided a course syllabus
with space to take notes. Attendance is monitored through the use of sign-in and
sign-out sheets.
According to J. William Cooley, President/CEO of The Success Family of CE Companies,
“We are excited about bringing you our quality property and casualty insurance continuing
education course curriculum, and we will continue to expand upon it. The Property and Casualty
Course “Where is the Money?” fits in nicely with our tradition of allowing P&C agents
to earn a large number of hours in their state toward their insurance continuing
education license renewal with a single comprehensive course instead of their having
to take up to four courses elsewhere to earn the same number of credit hours”
Continuing to offer excellent customer service to clients, the Success Family of
CE Companies strives to create superior insurance continuing education course
content. Cooley adds, “We invite you to contact us for new Property and
Casualty courses because our skilled content curriculum team is working to develop comprehensive
additional automobile, adjustor license, and E&O coverage courses.”
