Alaska Insurance Continuing Education (CE) Courses

State Proctor/Monitor Requirements:

• No proctor required for Alaska insurance continuing education.

AK Insurance Continuing Education Online Renewal Requirements:

• 24 Alaska insurance CE credit hours are required for agents and adjusters, biennially.
• Effective 1/1/09: 3 hours of business ethics training must be included in the 24 hour requirement.

State Specific (required) Courses:

• Hours may be taken for any line of authority.
• Effective 1/1/09: 3 hours of business ethics training must be included in the 24 hour requirement.
• All Alaska licensed resident insurance producers who sell federal flood insurance policies shall be required to complete a one time 3 hour requirement on flood insurance.
• No more than 8 hours may be in business organization, management of environment.

Alaska Insurance CE License Renewal Timelines:

• Individuals whose year of birth is in an odd-numbered year will renew biennially on their birth date in odd-numbered years and individuals whose year of birth is in an even-numbered year will renew biennially on their birth date in even-numbered years.
