Arkansas Insurance Continuing Education (CE) Courses

State Proctor/Monitor Requirements:

• Online and paper exams MUST be monitored by a state approved proctor or disinterested 3rd party for Arkansas insurance continuing education.

AR Insurance Continuing Education Online Renewal Requirements:

• Life and/or Accident & Health - 8 Hours, including 1 hour of Ethics.
• Property/Casualty - 8 Hours, including 1 hour of Ethics.
• Personal Lines- 8 Hours, including 1 hour of Ethics.
• Life & Property/Casualty/Personal Lines - 10 Hours, including 1 hour of Ethics.
• Accident & Health & Property/Casualty/Personal Lines - 10 Hours, including 1 hour of Ethics.

State Specific (required) Courses:

• Arkansas insurance CE requirement must include 1 hour of Ethics. Courses cannot be repeated within a 2 year period.
• Long Term Care Training Requirement: Producers who sell, solicit, or negotiate Long-Term care insurance must be licensed for accident and health or sickness or life, and must complete a one-time 8 hour training course on or before 1/1/2009. Individuals already licensed and selling LTC insurance on or before 7/1/2008 must complete the one-time training on or before 07/01/2009. In addition to the one-time initial training course, producers who sell LTC insurance must complete no less than 4 hours of ongoing LTC training every 24 months.
• Flood Training Requirement: All Arkansas licensed resident CE insurance producers who sell federal flood insurance policies shall be required to complete a one time 3 hour requirement on flood insurance.

• License renewal date is the agent's date of birth annually.
