Missouri Insurance Continuing Education (CE) Courses

State Proctor/Monitor Requirements:

• Exams are required to be monitored by a disinterested third party for Missouri insurance continuing education.

MO Insurance Continuing Education Online Renewal Requirements:

• 16 hours, 3 of which must be in Ethics, biennially.

State Specific (required) Courses:

• Courses must be approved for lines of insurance for which license is held for Missouri Insurance CE.
• 3 hours of Ethics must be completed as part of the basic CE requirement.
• Long Term Care Training Requirement: A producer must not sell, solicit or negotiate a Qualified Long-Term Care Partnership Plan unless licensed for both life and health lines of authority and has completed a one-time 8 hour LTC training course approved by the department. In addition, a producer must complete 4 hours of ongoing LTC training every two years thereafter.
• Flood Training Requirement: All Missouri property producers must complete a one-time course related to NFIP Flood requirement which will provide at least three hours of continuing education credit. These three hours are not required in addition to the normal 16 hours.

Missouri Insurance CE License Renewal Timelines:

• License renewal date is the license issuance date, biennially.
